Sierra Waller, Counseling Intern

Sierra Waller, Counseling Intern

The human experience will inevitably include periods of joy, grief, challenges, changes, discomfort, and uncertainty. Therapy can be an invaluable tool to help you navigate these nuanced experiences. As a therapist, I am dedicated to creating a collaborative relationship in which you feel empowered to explore difficult emotions, develop interpersonal strategies, and employ self-care practices. It is my hope that through the work of therapy you find yourself with more self-compassion, peace of mind, and develop deep trust in your capabilities.

I will continually work to understand how your many identities shape your subjective world and work within that frame to help you identify your values and create meaningful action toward your goals. I have experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing major life transitions, trauma, interpersonal conflict, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief, and identity exploration.

I am currently pursuing my masters degree at Roosevelt University. I’m originally from Colorado and spend my free time cooking, listening to music, and exploring different neighborhoods in Chicago. If it sounds like we might be a good fit, reach out whenever you are ready.

Sierra is a counseling intern and accepts sliding scale payment for sessions. If you are interested in our sliding scale services or in scheduling with Sierra, please contact our intake team at intake@acclchicago.com or 773-249-2921(x1).
