Relationships can provide both wonderful safety and immense pain. Recognizing this dynamic, Taylor believes that couples counseling can be a place to explore your relationship, gain insight into the dynamics at play, and learn how to better love and support each other.
Taking a psychodynamic/psychoanalytic approach, influenced by emotionally focused therapy, Taylor strives to provide a warm and empathetic atmosphere where you and your partner can connect and understand each other in new and powerful ways. And by doing so, heal past wounds and weather future strife’s.
Taylor has been fortunate enough to have experience helping a wide variety of people, with a wide variety of ailments and pains. However, he believes in treating the whole person, knowing that your relationship will be for the better if you can be present as your full self.
Within his couples work, Taylor has particular interest working with same-sex couples, interracial couples, couples struggling with their sex life and sexuality, and culturally diverse couples.
Taylor received his Masters of Arts in Counseling from Northwestern University’s The Family Institute, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of San Francisco.
In his free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with his two cats, playing video games, and being outside in nature.
