Couples Counseling in Chicago at Artemis Counseling
Couples counseling at ACCL Chicago can help you and your partner have a healthy relationship.
Our romantic relationship is the most important relationship we will ever have. So, why is it so hard to have the relationship we want with the person we love? Fighting, arguing and resentment distances us from the person we want to love and be loved by the most. You might feel ashamed that you can’t make it work and feel like it shouldn’t be this hard.
But the truth is, we do not innately know how to have a good relationship and when we rely on our instincts they often make things worse. Chances are we didn’t learn how to have a great relationship by looking at our family growing up or by seeing the many dysfunctional relationships portrayed in pop culture. The idea that good relationships come easy and without effort is a myth. Even though great relationships take work there is good news, couples counseling at ACCL Chicago can help!
As Chicago’s expert couples counselors we are trained in this specialty and we can teach you how to improve your relationship using techniques backed by research. We utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Gottman method, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and other couples therapy strategies to ensure the most effective treatment. Our goal as couples counselors is to help you and your partner to learn the tools that you need to have the kind of relationship you want.
We help couples who are struggling with:
- Fighting
- Lack of intimacy
- Communication issues
- Financial concerns
- Getting out of a rut
- And more!
Whether dating, in an exclusive relationship, engaged, or married, the counselors at Artemis Counseling can teach you what you need to know to have the relationship you have always wanted. We are proud supporters of the LGBTQ community and welcome all into our practice.
